New Year, New “Resolutions”?

I find myself wondering where the idea originated to try to start off a new year with plans to do better for oneself… Why have we decided to give a new year so much power to be a starting point? I’ve seen some people use it as an excuse to put off starting something because it was the middle of the year, or the middle of the month, or the middle of a week even. While I think using a new year to set some goals for the upcoming year, I hope you don’t wait until the new year to start them if it’s a long way off!

That being said, I have some goals for this new year:

-Finish and publish book two in my trilogy (book one is available here :))

-Publish book one to print (I’m still researching the best, and my most liked, method for doing this, but since I signed up for Kindle Select until March, I’ve got some time to figure it out)

-Read and write as much as possible

(and a non-writing one just for the heck of it) -get out and explore more

I hope you all have a Happy New Year! I hope 2015 brings you more joy than sadness, but remember, the bad makes the good all that much sweeter.

Best Writing!
